The opening stage of the 2010 Dauphine Libere is a 6.8km Individual Time Trial around Evian-les-Bains. Alberto Contador and David Millar lead the bookes list of favourites while Sky’s ‘missing man’ Edvald Boassen Hagen makes a return to top level racing following injury which wiped out most of his Classics campaign.
With a short Category 4 hill in the middle of the course it’s likely that Alberto Contador will take the win but don’t discount Samuel Sanchez who will benefit from a long descent to the finish.
