After Cadel Evans’ fantastic win at Fleche Wallonne on Wednesday we now turn to Liege-Bastogne-Liege. Odds for the 2010 Liege-Bastogne-Liege are pretty much the same as for Fleche Wallonne except Phillipe Gilbert is installed as favourite with the almost anonymous (at Fleche) Alejandro Valverde a close second favourite.
Alberto Contador ran out of steam on the Mur du Huy but with a better timed attack maybe he could pull of a classics win and with the help of Vinokourov he remains an attractive bet at 13.00 (12/1). Andy Schleck has flattered to deceive in the last week, Saxo Bank have done a tremendous amount of work at Amstel and Fleche and come up with nothing. Perhaps it’s time they gave Frank a chance at 17.00 (16/1) and told him to stop worrying about his brother.
Damiano Cunego is our choice for this race, he finished 7th in the race last year and provided no attacks come before the final climb we think he has a fantastic chance of winning the race.
