Lance Armstrong odds at the Tour Down Under? One of the Favourites?

Very few betting companies are so far offering odds on the season-opening Tour Down Under in Australia. There is only one story surrounding the race and that is the return of seven times Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong.

The form of the riders is unknown and choosing a winner here is incredibly difficult. Lance Armstrong is amongst the favourites in the betting odds to take the overall win but his recent comments suggest he has neither the form or the inclination to take victory in Australia. Oscar Pereiro returns to cycling after his crash in the 2008 Tour de France and is clear favourite with the bookmakers while Michael Rogers looks to have a much improved season following a disappointing year.
